Group and Centre based activities

Participants are welcome to undertake activities independently, participate in facilitated workshops, or a combination of both. We offer a structured and supportive environment where participants can interact with others and participate in various activities.

Here are some examples of group and centre-based activities provided under the NDIS:

Social and recreational activities: This includes group outings, day trips, picnics, dancing, ten pin bowling, sports, arts and crafts, music, drama, and other leisure activities.

Skills development programs: Group-based programs designed to enhance specific skills such as communication, cooking, gardening, computer literacy, and vocational skills.

Education and training programs: Group-based learning opportunities such as workshops, classes, and training sessions to develop knowledge and skills in specific areas of interest.

Support groups: Regular gatherings where participants can share experiences, receive peer support, and learn from each other.Community participation programs: Activities that promote active engagement in the community, such as volunteering, music workshops, library, shopping, museum, art gallery, attending community events, and participating in community projects.

Day programs: Structured programs provided in a centre-based setting, offering a range of activities and supports tailored to the individual’s needs and goals.

Therapy groups: Group sessions led by therapists, such as speech therapy groups, social skills groups, and occupational therapy groups, aimed at achieving specific therapeutic goals.

Literacy and Numeracy – tailored programs to suit learning ability, money handling, budgeting, reading, and writing skills.

Improved Health & Wellbeing – health & wellbeing awareness and education, group fitness activities, walks, swimming, yoga.

These activities are designed to promote social inclusion, skill development, and community integration for NDIS participants. The specific activities available may vary based on the participant’s location, interests, and goals.
